Service Description: This program helps empower women with disabilities * provides workshops and leadership development opportunities *  Educational workshops include:
  • self-esteem
  • body image
  • assertiveness
  • boundaries
  • healthy/unhealthy relationships
  • types and indicators of abuse
  • human rights
  • social networking
  • benefits of recreation
  • dating with a disability

Research and community consultations are currently being conducted with women with disabilities, employment agencies, and employers to learn more about the employment barriers women with disabilities face and what additional knowledge and tools are needed by employers to promote the inclusion of women with disabilities in the workforce.
