Service Description:

The Greek Community of Toronto is a non-profit charitable organization in the Greater Toronto Area. The community and its members share a common desire to serve and promote the organization's goals. They are committed to providing an environment for Greek culture and the flourishing of the Greek heritage, thus enriching the social and cultural fabric of Canada.
The main services include:
The GCT Department of Education- PAIDEIA Program - an innovative, unique and comprehensive platform, which integrates the teaching of language and culture in a proficiency based model. Students (grades 1-12) are assessed through a proficiency exam -- Ellinomatheia Exam
The GCT Department of Culture- Cultural department offers traditional folklore dancing lessons
- Adult and kid's theatre productions
Other services include:- Funeral Services - offers complete funeral services program to Greek Orthodox Christians in Toronto
- Social Services - assessing, counseling and offering advice to retired clients regarding their pension applications sent to Greece
- Church Services - accommodations of Greek orthodox services such as weddings, baptisms and funerals at the 4 GCT churches
- Charitable work by Ladies Auxiliary Pronia - service daily needs of the 4 GCT churches contributing substantially to helping people in need and organizing events
