Hours: Admin hours Mon-Thu 9am-5pm * Fri 9am-4pm
Service Description: Provides trained volunteer mentors on a one to one basis to women in transition (e.g. leaving an abusive situation, building English conversation skills) for a period of 6 months to a year * supportive mentors assist women to increase their support system, to break their isolation, and to be more in charge of their lives.

Literacy/English conversation mentors assist women to improve their writing, reading and numeric skills.

Eligibility / Target Population: Women 18 years and older, including newcomers who are moving away from abuse, poverty and isolation * special program off-site for women 13-19 years * outreach to women with disabilities and young women
