Service Description:
|
Hospital-based outpatient program for people who have swallowing disorders * services may include:
- nutrition assessment
- oral motor assessment
- clinical swallowing assessment
- videofluoroscopy swallowing study
- fiberendoscopic evaluation of the swallow
Services provided by a speech language pathologist and registered dietitian
Progression level of rehabilitative care for patients working to restore or maximize functionality

Medical referral required * referrals are accepted from a UHN physician for any patient seen through a UHN clinic * referrals should specify a request for videofluoroscopy swallow study, and provide pertinent history/reason for referral
