Service Description: We are an information resource centre providing assistance and referral to consumer/survivors in the GTA. All of our staff and volunteers are consumers of the mental health and/or addiction system. We offer this service through telephone, email, mail and face to face. We have literature, videos, books and information catalogues as well as access to the internet. We also publish a Bulletin twice monthly. This is a ten-page newsletter which contains information of relevance to consumer/survivors such as drug warnings, newsbytes, workshops and conferences, job postings and free, low cost things to do in the Toronto area. It also contains submissions from the readers. We encourage readers to feel the Bulletin is their own and to contribute to it. We also work with other organizations to advocate for the improvement of conditions and legislation with regards to mental health law, employment choices and opportunities, disabilities, and income support. We run a tax clinic for low-income consumer survivors etc.
