Service Description: Services for children with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, muscular dystrophy, amputation, epilepsy, spina bifida, arthritis, cleft-lip and palate, autism and other developmental disabilities who are living in the community

Augmentative and Alternative Communication Service (Progression) - Programs and services for children and youth who are unable to speak or whose speech is limited or unclear * services include assessments, goal setting, consultation, intervention, and training in specialized communication strategies and systems

Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team Outpatient Services (Progression) - Hospital-based outpatient program for children and youth with an acquired brain injury including concussions

Child Development Program - Services to children with diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy, cleft lip and palate, along with autism and complex medical conditions and syndromes * individual assessment, consultation and intervention depending on the needs of the child or youth

Clinical Seating (Progression) - Pediatric seating clinics to help improve comfort, posture, and the ability to perform daily activities with specialized seating or mobility devices * assist the client and family to research the various funding options available to them and also assist with the completion of any necessary applications and supporting documentation

Concussion Centre - Offer a range of concussion services:

Dental Services - Provide services to children and young adults with complex medical needs in two areas: the cleft lip and palate/craniofacial dental program and general pediatric dentistry * services also offered to siblings of clients

Feeding Services - Assess and manage the problems your child is having with feeding and swallowing * help develop a plan to improve the individual's feeding safety and feeding skill development * do not help with children whose feeding problems are related to nutrition or behaviour only

Neuromotor Services (Progression and Maintenance) - Hospital-based outpatient program for pediatric patients who have neuromotor disorders such as epilepsy and cerebral palsy * services may include:

Neuromuscular Services - Hospital-based outpatient program for pediatric patients diagnosed with neuromuscular conditions * services provided by a pediatrician, ambulatory care nurses, physiotherapists, a social worker, a psychologist, and a registered respiratory therapist

Nursery Schools (Progression and Maintenance) - Early learning programs for children with or without special needs * depending on child's needs, an early childhood educator may help arrange assessments for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech language pathology

Orthotics (Progression and Maintenance) - Programs and services for people who need exact-fitting orthotics to support, protect, or realign parts of their bodies * specializes in orthoses for the limbs and spine, as well as custom-made protective headwear * services provided by certified orthotists and registered technicians

Prosthetics and Myoelectrics (Progression and Maintenance) - Prosthetic services for people who were born without a limb or with a partial limb, or who have lost a limb due to an injury or disease * services may include:

Psychopharmacology - Offer a psychopharmacology consultation clinic for individuals whose complex medical and developmental disorders (such as Autism Spectrum Disorders and epilepsy) suggest the need for medication management as part of their overall treatment plan

Spina Bifida and Spinal Cord Services (Maintenance) - Hospital-based outpatient program for pediatric patients who have spina bifida or a spinal cord injury * clinical assessment and intervention by developmental pediatritian, ambulatory care nurses, physiotherapists, an occupational therapist, a social worker, a psychologist, and a speech language pathologist

Therapeutic Recreation and Life Skills (Progression and Maintenance) - Recreational and life skills programs to help children and youth with disabilities improve their level of functioning in home and community settings

Writing Aids (Progression) - Programs and services for children and youth who have difficulties with handwriting skills because of physical disabilities * assesses and evaluates clients to recommend technological alternatives to pen or pencil for written communication
