Service Description: Safe, spacious temporary residence, residential services include:
  • emergency case management
  • emergency trauma counselling
  • male survivors of domestic abuse support group
  • food, clothing and additional in-house resources
  • Legal Clinic for family and criminal law matters
  • Fathering After Separation or Divorce - parenting program
  • drop-in peer support group
  • assistance with housing applications
  • outreach and advocacy on behalf of men and their children
  • referrals to additional external services
Capacity is up to 10 families, or 24 individuals

Application: Call or register online * Initial intake questionnaire is necessary, registration may be done more quickly if this questionnaire is completed and emailed to shelter@menandfamilies.org, otherwise Shelter intake staff will contact you to complete the form together
Eligibility / Target Population: Male-identified individuals and their family members, Open to both single men as well as fathers with children. Must have experienced some form of domestic abuse, family violence or other forms of trauma; exceptions where vacancies exists for families in other forms of crisis
