Service Description: Early Years Social Workers seek to improve the quality of life and well-being of individuals and families facing social disadvantages such as poverty, mental and/or physical health challenges, or disability. This service is available to expectant families and families of children under the age of six. A variety of Early Years Social Work services are available, including: - individual counselling - developmental counselling - groups - workshops - crisis support Early Years Social Workers work with clients to support a variety of issues, including mental/physical illness, anxiety, stress, partner violence, substance use, and past or current trauma.
